Step into the serenity of Plumas County’s Lost Sierra and experience art like never before. The Gallery of the Woods is an immersive outdoor event that blends the natural beauty of the woods with the creative talents of local artisans. As you walk along a guided or self-paced forest path, you’ll encounter thoughtfully placed visual and performing art installations — from sculpture, painting, and mixed media works to live music, dance, and spoken word.

No Host Bar & Silent Auction Opens at 12:00pm

Enjoy light refreshments and a no-host bar featuring local wines and beer as you browse and bid at your own pace.

1:00 to 3:00pm

Art Hikes will commence at your chosen designated time.

BBQ Dinner served at 3:00 to 5:00pm

After your hike, gather for a BBQ feast of chicken chimichurri and more.

Frequently Asked Questions

There are two alternative loops.

An easy route which is approximately 0.35 miles on a wide dirt path. While not completely wheelchair accessible, this route is relatively flat and easy to walk. This section is self guided.

A normal route which is around 1.35 miles long and includes the easy route art installations. It is a relatively easy hike but does feature narrow trails, roots, rocks and has approximately 300ft of elevation gain. We will have tour guides to help you on your way.

Please wear sturdy comfortable shoes. Feel free to bring water and snacks if you wish.
